I took this picture a while ago, but i didn't want to post it right away because i used it in a father's day card i made for my dad (in Iraq) and i didn't want to post it until he got it first. He got it today so it was safe for me to post!
Sorry about the copyright right on the flag but this is probably one of my favorite pictures and i wanted to make sure it was protected. I thought the quote by Edmund Burke (which i used on the picture for part of my dad's card) went well with the theme of the picture so i decided to leave it on there. I think it's an inspiring quote and important to keep in mind.
Love you Dad!

Came to your blog through seeing you comment on Jen's. Love this photo - very impressive. (I also like the way you've done your copyright - obvious but not distracting. Is it easy to do it that way?)
ReplyDeleteJame G'morning to you! Wow what an absolutely wonderful capture! How proud your father must be of you, as I know you are of him! Thank you so much for sharing this! Have a wonderful day sweet girl! xo~
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! To answer you question Scriptor, it wasn't hard at all. All i did was use a the horizontal type mask tool in photoshop to create the selection of the copyright and then moved it where i wanted it on the picture. Then i hit Command+J to put the selection on it's own layer which i beveled and embossed to make stand out. Then i lowered the opacity a bit to help it blend in.
ReplyDeleteI hope that doesn't sound too confusing, i'm not too good at giving good instructions!
I just love this photograph, the sky above the flag has a really cool gold'ish color- well done!
